We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Team Leader to join Amplius, supporting the Designated Safeguarding Lead and leading a team of advisors to deliver high‑quality safeguarding across the organisation. You’ll manage complex and high‑risk cases, provide expert advice in crisis situations, and drive continuous improvement through audits, reporting, and multi‑agency working – ensuring safeguarding practice is compliant, embedded, and focused on excellent customer outcomes.


Salary: £46,620.00 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Your week: Full Time, Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:15pm with a 1-hour break

Location: Hybrid with a weekly presence at either our Boston, Peterborough, Rushden or Milton Keynes office

 

Snapshot of Your Role

  • As Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Team Leader, you will lead and support a team responsible for safeguarding across Amplius, ensuring that our customers are protected and our services meet the highest standards.
  • Ensure safeguarding is afforded high priority throughout Amplius, participating in the induction of colleagues and discussing Amplius safeguarding approach at colleague’s team meetings and events
  • You’ll oversee safeguarding case management, provide expert advice and guidance, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
  • Carry out quality assurance audit checks, risk assessments and report on operational services ensuring customer perspective is gathered in quality assurance audits.
  • Understand our Local Authority and Health Commissioners contractual and regulatory requirements to keeping people safe and to ensure our policies, procedures and operations fully encompasses the best practice of each agency.
  • To support the DSL in provision of regular reports to the Board, Customer Experience Committee and Risk Panel.
  • You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure a consistent, effective approach to safeguarding and continuous improvement.

 

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings both expertise and leadership. You’ll need:

  • Strong experience in safeguarding, ideally within housing, social care or a related sector
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding legislation, frameworks and best practice
  • Experience leading or supervising a team, with the ability to support and develop others
  • Confidence managing complex and sensitive cases
  • Experience in quality assurance, auditing or service improvement
  • The ability to analyse data and use insights to drive change
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
